Carriage Creek Company is committed to making your special day, gala or event one of elegance, grace, and charm.
Carriage Creek Company will provide an unforgettable horse-drawn carriage experience for its customers. This will be accomplished by providing our customers with a high degree of quality in our carriages, uniforms, decorations, and other amenities and extras. Key to our success will be our professional, courteous, and informative drivers.
Our Horses
All of our horses are draft horses, both Belgian and soon Percherons. These horses are powerful! They are able to pull up to five times their own weight, and they all weigh over 1,000 pounds. Our horses have a part time job working no more than three days a week, and three hours a day. Most get a vacation in the summer time for about three months. They have their own doctor and dentist.
Our Drivers
All of our drivers have had a training course, the course is about two weeks, where they learn how to work with and drive the horse and learn about the history of the horse and carriage. Our drivers must groom and take care of the horse and make sure they are in good health. They must also maintain their carriage and follow a dress code.
Our Carriages
Our carriages are French style. Vis-à-vis were used in the early 1800's by the wealthy and royal class. You will also find that all of our carriages are decorated subtly with flowers and lace etc.., depending on the season or holiday. Our particular vis-à-vis carriages have doors for added protection for children and toddlers. This style of carriage is a convertible, so if it starts raining our passengers stay dry.
